                                               Indian Crest Subdivision

This lovely family orientated South Side Chatham neighborhood gets its name from Indian Creek which winds it's way behind several of the streets and is controlled against flooding. There is a greenbelt area which borders the creek on both sides and miles of walkways for family strolls. Constructon of single family homes began in this area in the 1960's and continues today on some new streets. Bordering the subdivision on the Queen St. side is the Memorial Arena where the Chatham Junior Maroons play, new lighted Hard Ball Diamond and the Kinsmen Auditorium, the site of many events held in the City of Chatham throughout the year. Just across Queen St. on the east side of the area is a large grocery store,a bank and several other merchants making shopping very convenient. Elementary schools in the area are Indian Creek Public School and George P. Vanier Separate School as well as John McGregor Secondary School.

This is a very central area to live in the city, affordable and family orientated.
